IDIYAPPAM

Ingredients

  • Rice flour/ Idiyappam flour - one cup (You can also use the same recipe with ragi flour, millet flour etc)
  • Water -one and half cup app.
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil/ghee- to grease the idli plates
  • Grated fresh Coconut - half cup



Preparation of idiyappam


  • Take one bowel add water in that keep the bowel in stove and boil the water
  • Add one tablespoon of oil and pinch of salt to the water
  • Slowly add rice flour/idiyappam flour or whatevr flour you can add it into boiling water
  • Mix it well with out any breaks and keep it aside
  • Take idiyappam press or murukulu press grease the ghee or oil in press 
  • Add little dough in idiyappam press keep it aside
  • And take idly pressure cooker and grease the ghee/oil to idly plates
  • And press idiyappam dough in plates like noodels
  • Add some fresh grated coconut on top of idiyappam 
  • Close the lid and steem for ten minutes in medium flame
  • Transfer the idiyappams in plate and serv it
